Program Description

URI Master Gardener volunteers conduct free soil pH testing as a service to the residents of Rhode Island to help you determine your gardens' needs as you put them to bed for the winter. The test helps determine soil pH levels and predominant soil texture, and provides basic information and recommendations for gradual correction of soil pH and compaction issues. Just bring in your soil sample and the URI Master Gardeners will test and provide results to improve your soil. To take your soil sample please follow these directions:
